BITCH CRITIQUE
There are some lovely bitches that did not get placed today, on the whole soundness was OK, teeth were clean and coats were in good condition. Whippets are still being shown with toe-nails far too long, not helping foot shape one little bit. There were too many ‘cat’ feet and straight pasterns.
Veteran Bitch (6,2)
1. Mycroft’s Supeta’s Loverlee. Lovely forequarters which she used well in profile movement. She has good muscle tone for age and in very good condition overall.
2. Phillips-Griffiths’ Permadon Mystery Girl At Astri. slightly narrower all through with not quite the body shape of first. Moved soundly to and fro.
3. Wood’s Ardencote Diamond Lil
Minor Puppy Bitch (18,1)
1. Morris, Waddell and Townson’s. Crosscop Count on Me. She presented a very balanced picture with just the right amount of muscle tone for age. She has a pretty head and good length of neck into well laid shoulders, a lovely depth of chest and correct topline and underline. She is very sound in movement.
2. Layton’s Layways Wander. A bitch with lovely make and shape, correct strength of bone for body mass, very feminine, she used her balanced angles well in profile movement.
3. Grisoli and Bowyer’s Loroli Blue Monday
Puppy Bitch (10,3)
1. McLaughlan’s Westview Simply Stunning. A very easy profile mover who has all the angles to enable her to do this. She is well balanced throughout and carries a flowing topline and underline.
2. Chant’s Derohan Beyond Desire, she has a well-muscled, mature body with good width to first and second thigh. I would have liked to have seen her extend and drive a little more with the angles she possesses.
3. Webber’s Derohan Attraction
Junior Bitch (18,1)
1. Beckett-Hughes’ Collooney Ravishing Rita Of Mulranny. Pleasing head and eye with good strength of underjaw, set on good length of neck into well laid shoulder, good return of upper arm, straight legs and good feet. This was complemented by a well-muscled mature body with good spring of rib and length of loin into strong hind quarters with short hock which she used well on the move. Pushed hard for RCC.
2. Wilkinson’s Benzfreya Swing Time, not quite as mature as 1st but equally well constructed. She used her balanced angles well to drive and extend in profile.
3. Perkins’ Benzfreya Harp Strings At Silkridge
Yearling Bitch (14,1)
1. Paley/Watson’s Jenaul Nutmeg. She is well put together with good strength of bone to body mass; she has a good head with correct eye shape and strong underjaw. Enough neck leading into well laid shoulder and matching return of upper arm, good Whippet feet! Moved very soundly to and fro.
2. Mason’s Aphrael Casting Pearl. A little finer in bone than winner but she stands 4 square on good feet and short hocks. She has reach and drive when moving in profile which suggests good balance to angles.
3. Wilson’s Jasarat Savannah Skye At Tollymore JW
Novice Bitch (12,1)
1. Morris, Waddell and Townson’s Crosscop Count On Me
2. Head’s Demerlay Poetry In Motion. Pleasing shape and body mass, just needs to settle on rear movement.
3. Short/Coulter’s Collooney Racey Lacey
Under Graduate Bitch (14,2)
1. Walker’s Shoalingham Silver Sorrel. Very pleasing to go over as she is well constructed, like her length of body and flowing underline. She has good lay of shoulder and depth to chest. Steady on the move.
2. Home/ Fisher-Home’s Jasarat Heavenly Star. This very sound young lady still has to mature into her shape, but she has good depth of chest and flowing underline. Please to hear she got her JW points today.
3. Ogilvie’s Demerlay Ritzi Ruby
Special Beginners Bitch (15,0)
1. Home and Fisher-Home’s Jasarat Heavenly Star.
2. Mclaughlan’s Westview Simply Stunning
3. Wood’s Ardencote Diamond Lil
Post Graduate Bitch (20,5) 20
1. Grisoli’s Loroli Let’s Boogie. Elegant and feminine, for me, a good example of the breed standard. Her well placed angles, strength of bone to body mass and muscle tone gave her the perfect frame to display some of the best profile movement I have seen. CC and BIS
2. Bennett’s Stormburst Wild Honey JW. A well angulated bitch with pleasing topline and underline, moved soundly to and fro. Presented in lovely condition, unlucky to meet winner today.
3. Walker’s Shoalingham Silver Promise
Limit Bitch (17,4) 17

2. Mycroft’s Supeta’s Dazzalicious JW. Beautifully presented and handled she gave her all both standing and moving. She has the correct body mass for her frame with good muscle tone which complemented her outline.
3. Dickenson’s Mossbawnhill Timeless Epic From Ribblesmere
Open Bitch (13,1)
1. Sykes’ Cedaridge Vanilla Skies Over Veredon. She flowed from the top of her head to the tip of her tail, there is no exaggeration of any kind, she stands 4 square and covers the ground ,both standing and on the move. She has a lovely coat and skin and was handled beautifully.
2. Mycroft and Brocklehurst’s Supeta’s Deelicious. Different in body shape to winner but her soundness and profile movement could not be denied.
3. Paley and Watson’s Jenaul Elderflower.
