NWA Open Show
1st November 2015
I would like to thank the exhibitors for presenting their dogs in such high order.
I was thrilled with my BIS line-up and I had a most enjoyable day’s judging thanks to the selection of Whippets that I was able to judge. Thank you also to my efficient, professional stewards.
Minor Puppy Dog (5,0a)
1st BOUGHTON’S DANLUKE DOUBLE TANGO WITH IPANEMA
Fawn with black mask. Most attractive and handsome young puppy. Super size, beautiful head, and so balanced for one so young. Excellent layback of shoulder with desired return of upper arm. Straight front, well sprung pasterns, good length of rib with correct topline. Good rear angulation. Preferred moving around the ring with others rather than solo- moves true coming and going, with desired whippet action in profile. Delighted to award him BPIS.
2nd ABBISS’ DEMERLEY BEAM ME UP SCOTTIE
Rangier fawn and white parti. Not quite the balance of 1 but another promising puppy. Good length of neck, elegantly arched leading into correct front assembly. Deep chest for one so young and nice length of body. A tad flat over the loin at present, but this may come with age. Well bent stifle, balanced length of second thigh. Moved steadily and accurately.
3rd SMITH’S CALL ME ALL GOLD AT YANTABELLA
Puppy Dog (1,0a)
1st HORSTEAD’S PELYMA PRINCE CHARMING
Fawn, blue mask. Handsome puppy but possesses quite a lot of substance and bone. He holds a pleasing shape with a slight rise over the loin and tuck up in underline. I would prefer to see him carrying a dash less condition but he has spring of rib and good rear angulation. Moved ok but rather close behind. A very
confident, happy young puppy.
Junior Dog (5,0a)
I was disappointed to discover one dog with dirty teeth in this class of young exhibits.
1st FOORD & COULTER’S COLLOONEY POCKET ROCKET
Fawn and white trim. Not the most settled but his attributes could not be denied in this class. Handsome head, well proportioned with dark eye. Excellent front assembly with forelegs set under his body. Correct in top and underline, with good length of rib and loin. Well angulated rear accompanied by appropriate
muscle tone. Moved out true and with power and drive. Considered for RBD but just did not settle in the challenge.
2nd WEBBER’S DARK WING
Black, all male dog. Holds a super shape both on the stand and move. Pleasing head and elegant yet muscular neck. Good shoulder, nice depth of brisket and overall length. Would have preferred him to carry a little more weight and have a finer coat. Nice bend of stifle with let down hocks. Pleasing mover although I would prefer greater front extension.
3rd NEALE’S STORMALONG ROMANTIC ROMEO
Yearling Dog (10,1a)
A mixed class with many up to size.
1st HALL’S BLANDINGS FORTURN COOKIE
Lemon brindle and white parti. Beautiful head on this dog, with dark pigmentation, correct eye and rose ears well used. Elegantly arched neck and nice layback of shoulder. Good bone substance, straight forelegs, deep chest. Well sprung ribs and excellent length and overall balance. Moved soundly and typically, with enthusiasm and purpose.
2nd GRIFFITH’S PELYMA DASHING DUKE
Fawn and white parti of correct size. Very handsome dog with pleasing head and neck. Correct front assembly with deep brisket, curvy underline and good topline. Slightly heavier throughout than 1. Very balanced rear angulation completing the picture. True coming and going, albeit lacking some enthusiasm.

Post Graduate Dog (5,0a)
1st GRIFFITH’S PELYMA OBI WAN KENOBI

Excellent depth of chest, proportioned length of loin to rib with well sprung ribs. In solid muscletone with good length of thigh and second thigh and well let down hocks. On the move, he could have a dash more propulsion in the rear, but his correct shape and balanced picture earned him RBD.
2nd BAXTER’S BLANDINGS INDIAN SUMMER OF HENEVALLEY
Paler fawn with different head to 1. Would prefer more stop. Pleasing front assembly with good return of upper arm. Could have slightly greater tuck up in underline. Good overall length and another displaying desired muscle tone. Balanced rear angulation. True on the move, in profile and fore and aft.
3rd KNOWLES’ LELAPS EXPELLIARMUS
Limit Dog (2,1a)
1st JACKSON & HUGHES' PENBRIAR CORRULEAM STAR
Blue. Alone in this class, but appealed for his true whippet action movement- excellent front reach, daisy cutting action accompanied by rear propulsion. Pleasing head and ok front assembly. Would prefer more length of ribcage to give more balanced overall picture. Good tailset, well bent stifle, and balanced length of second thigh. Shown in good coat.

Handsome head with dark eye and appealing pression. Good length of neck, excellent shoulder and return of upper arm.
